An abysmal knockoff movie that was only made to capitalize off of Speed Racer while stealing the exact same beats and vibes of the Fast and Furious movies. Terrible acting, awful editing especially in the action/racing sequences, shallow characters, and worst of all, just absolute boredom in its awfulness. At least something like Sharknado (which was made by the same studio who made this movie), while terrible yes, embraced its stupidity and can be enjoyable on a so bad it's good level. Street Racer didn't do that and I was tortured by the overall experience.

  • 69er

film lost all credibility when someone drove my sisters scion xb up to 97mph. i know it does not do that.

  • LuciferianTower

Was it bad? Yeah, it was bad, it’s an Asylum movie. Was it terribly bad? Not really, nowhere near as bad as some of the other movies put out by the studio, (I suppose there is less that can be bad in a movie like this, compared to something like Monster Island).

The plot is cliche and sappy, and despite being called Street Racer there are very few street races. There are a few unintentionally funny moments too. It also seems like some of the cars here are just whatever they could find, like the s BMW 5 series racing one of those ugly cube cars. Good stuff.

  • LastCubScout

I have no problem generally with clunky dialogue, junior college-level acting, and extremely limited budgets—just don't make your movie boring! This film is not a racing film. It's a really dreary, dull, character drama bookended by two-minute race scenes at the beginning and the ending. It's all fat and no meat. Oh, and that poster art featuring a Mustang racing a GT-R? Doesn't happen at all during the film, so don't fall for it. It does have a race scene with a Scion xB (?!) racing a BMW i and later a Honda S, so points for a little creativity there. Never saw that before!

Watch out for those lower-tier Limp Bizkit clones on the soundtrack.

  • Gregory Wood

Kinda noir kinda a gangster pic this unusual genre hybrid was most enjoyable

  • Chiblutis

Don't bother, there is no story and acting is rubbish.

  • STEPHEN TUBBS

It doesn't go anywhere other than round and round which is very familiar for its type.

Provavelmente o pior filme que alguma vez vi.

Street Outlaws

In , Street Outlawspremiered on the Discovery Channel, and since then the reality series has gained a cult following and several spin-offs across America (and the world).

Initially following Oklahoma City's Big Chief and his infamous "list," the show has run for over 13 seasons and more than episodes and introduced viewers to new racers including AZN, Chuck, and

What is the Street Outlaws list?

According to Discovery, the list is a tally of the top 10 racers in OKC. If a racer wants to move up the list, they have to challenge someone who is ranked and win. Out-of-state racers — from Texas to Kansas City to California — can challenge racers on the list for money and bragging rights as well.

Are Street Outlaws raced fixed?

While Street Outlaws is based on illegal street racing, the races themselves are legal — but that doesn't mean the race is fixed or staged.

"The show itself wasn't actually illegal," Screen Rant explains in a cohesive breakdown. "Every race was cleared and permitted by the city the crew happened to be visiting that episode." So while it might appear like the racers are engaging in illicit activities, "the crew would put in for a permit, which would be either denied or approved by local officials."

The source continued, "To keep things extra safe and legal, local police officers would often drop by to keep an eye on the races and the roads were always shut down for the racers' private use."

Who won Street Outlaws: Fastest in America?

Eight teams faced off in Memphis for the title of "Fastest in America" (and $,) — and the final showdown was between MSO and NOLA. JJ Da Boss and the Memphis team was crowned the winner outside of Las Vegas in

    Street Racer (film)

    American film

Street Racer is a action film by The Asylum. Its title is similar to the film Speed Racer, but its overall plot bears a closer similarity to The Fast and the Furious, and particularly The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, which had been released in The film is advertised by The Asylum as being based on true events.[1]

    Plot[edit]

Johnny Wayne (Clint Browning) is an ex-racer who serves 5 years in prison after crippling a young boy during an illegal street race in Los Angeles. Wayne, having been traumatised by the events, vows to never race again, and is soon released as a reformed citizen. Whilst Johnny attempts to restore his life and become an honest, hardworking member of society, his parole officer has other plans for him. Johnny finds himself being blackmailed into street racing by his parole officer and the taunts of his former street racing associates. Johnny is given a job at a wrecking yard, owned by Red. Johnny and Red get off to a rocky start but end up becoming friends. Red teaches Johnny how to improve his racing skill. Johnny is assigned to volunteer community service as part of his parole and he winds up working at a rehabilitation facility where a boy, Danny/Daniel (Connor Herlong), crippled 5 years earlier in a car accident, gets his physical therapy as he tries to relearn to walk. Danny and his older sister take a liking to Johnny. Johnny inspires Danny to give maximum effort to his physical therapy and Danny progresses. Johnny slowly comes to the realization that Danny is the boy he crippled in the wreck he caused 5 years earlier but does not know how to tell Danny and his sister. Danny's father sees Johnny at the rehabilitation facility, goes ballistic and reveals the truth to all. Danny's sister confronts Johnny about the hardship he has placed on Danny and his family, who struggle to make ends meet with staggering medical bills. Johnny ends up racing his former friend/now rival Mickey Styles (Jason Ellefson) for the title of the ultimate street racer of Los Angeles and $10k. The crooked parole officer bets against Johnny and instructs Johnny to lose or he will violate his parole and harm Danny and his family. Johnny wins the race and $10k which he donates to Danny.
