I hired this company to replace a hot water tank at my rental property. The work went well and was done in a timely manner However, the receipt (in my tenants name) did not break down the labor and materials costs, did not list the make and model number of the hot water tank, and simply said "Replaced 50 gal ng tank and parts. $1700 x tax." When I asked for a more detailed receipt for warranty and tax purposes he wrote back the following to my tenants only (after several attempts to contact) "We do not allow customers to dictate how we do business. We do not allow customers to dictate our company policy's and procedures. We were hired by your tenant and paid for by your tenant. If you would like better communication then you need to be more proactive in taking care of your investment property by communicating from inception, not leaving the burden on your tenants. That is very unprofessional. For the record, we do not break down cost on this service. We charge a flat rate price scale for water heater installs. We provide a 1 year installation warranty for leaks and drips from connecting parts. We do not warranty the tank in any way shape or from as we did not manufacture it. If it leaks or fails, it is your burden of cost to fix. Not mine! Rheem is the manufacturer. The tank is a standard 50gal capacity. The factory provides a 6 year warranty on the tank and 1 year warranty on parts of the tank. Each tank has a sticker with the serial number and model number on it. We do not record these numbers. Therfore, is it your responsibility to look at the tank sticker as needed. Please request a copy of the onsite receipt given to the customer. Thank you! A Quality Plumber Inc.
