1) Press Windows key and X at the same time, then choose Device Manager

2) Expand category Display adapters. Then double click the AMD Radeon device driver that you can see. 

3) Then navigate to Driver tab, and then choose Roll Back Driver

4) If the Roll Back Driver button here is grey out, that means this option is unavailable in your situation. You need to go to the options below for more help. 

Option 2: Clean re-install display card driver

Note: This option requires that you install a DDU, Display Driver Uninstaller, on your computer first. You can of course use similar programs such as Cc Cleaners to help you with the uninstall. 

1) Click Start button, then choose Control Panel. In Control Panel, choose Uninstall a program under Programs sector (View by Category).

2) Now, choose AMD Catalyst program or other AMD programs, then choose Uninstall

3) Now, press Windows key and X at the same time and choose Device Manager

4) Expand category Display adapters. Then double click the AMD Radeon device driver that you can see. 

5) Navigate to Driver tab, then choose Uninstall.

When prompted with the following notification, click OK to continue. 

6) Now open the Display Driver Uninstaller that we previously installed. Click Clean and Restart (highly recommended) option. Then DDU will do its job.

Your PC will automatically restart when the uninstall finishes. Please make sure that you have saved all your important files before the restart. 

7) You can go to the support website of AMD to locate the driver you need. The baisc procedure is not that difficult, go to AMD support, then search for the driver that matches your operating system.

2) Uninstall MSI Gaming app. This app is reported to be incompatible with Radeon software. So if you have this app installed on your computer, please consider getting it uninstalled. 

3) Lower Memory Clock speed. In Radeon Settings > Global OverDrive. Then lower the speed for Memory Clock, starting from the lowest point. Then if things work out at this level, move up a little bit and try again until you find the perfect speed for your device.

In part it is mainly more to do with how the bios of the laptop is set up and it`s power management features set and used for the Apci settings of the laptop Imrazor.

5700XT Wattman settings vs HiveOS settings

Have 4 5700XT cards. Mining Rig is BTC-S37 with 1200W server PSU.
After doing all the BIOS mods, Wattman lets me set freq to 800/1050/1300 and corresponding voltages to 725 725 725
Then under VRAM tuning my max frequency is 1800. When I run phoenixminer 5.7b on my desktop with these settings I get right around 55-56MH. When I run the same cards in HiveOS I get 53MH. Any ideas what exactly I can do in HiveOS to get that extra 3MH? On my HiveOS tuning for these cards. They are all set for 1300, 725, and 900 (900x2=1800). Can I go about setting 725 3 times somehow?
Oddly enough, I had 1 of these modded before the others but didn’t have the voltage changed. It was default. I just had the memory timings changed in Bios. It was running at 56 for weeks. (1400 and 915 settings on it). Well I thought, maybe if I take these cards that have the timings and instead of putting the 1300, 725, 900 (900x2=1800) I had from Wattman into them in HiveOS, why not put 1400 and the 915 (915x2=1830) and then try a more safe 750. That did give me the 56MH I had before but my wattage went up from mid-90W to about 105. So I then tried to drop that 750 down to 725 and I start dropping cards. When I’m watching the log of Phoenixminer on my desktop mining it has -gt 0 which allows autotuning, even though I’ve got the Wattman settings. Perhaps do I need to specify this in HiveOS? I’ve tried removing all of my overclock settings and see the HiveOS log of Phoenix Miner and it shows auto-tune. It then proceeds to hit 53MH with 120W on these which is basically the least efficient scenario of these cards. All of these scenarios I’ve let the cards run for at least 10 minutes each run just in the odd chance they end up taking that long to fine-tune themselves. Same situation when I have 1 card vs 2 card vs 3 card vs 4 card total running on the system, so not like it is short on memory or anything like that. Thanks for any help that anyone can provide. BTW these are Dell OEM RX 5700XT 8GB cards. Not the “smoothest” of models and certainly not 100% detectable by every BIOS related programming tool. I think RedPolarBiosEditor faults on an attempt to read. But this is all I have for the time being.

Check other driver (old one), before Andrenaline 2019 since last couple are bugged as hell. Try not overclocking. If it's still hapening try other HDMI cable or other port (DVI/Display etc). If happens even then, might be that your GPU is dying (had 2 AMD gpus during last 15 years who died that way). Constant driver error, but make sure to check previous suggestions.

I swapped my video card for my daughters who is also using windows 10.
Her video card is comparable to mine but mine is an amd and hers is a nvidia.

She had no problem using my card.
I had no problems using her card.
I even tried putting my card back in to my pc and problems happened again.

As far as drivers, I was unable to get the newer drivers to actually finish the uninstall process.
I used an older driver for my computer with the amd card--and problem persisted.
I used that same driver with the AMD card on my daughters computer (again, no problem.)

The only thing I can figure is, maybe there is something in windows that just isn't working right in my computer, possibly a patch or some registry issue or a program that somehow bugs. But I've removed all programs that run at startup.

So yeah, shrug. Not trying to hijack this thread.
But just seems odd.

The solution I found was to swap cards and leave it.
No problems since.
