Uh oh

Downloaded the app. The. Days later I went to buy something. My card was declined. My money was never deposited. I wonder if that related to downloading this app. I have had this card since it came out and child support since 2002. Wondering if Xerox requires multiple attempts to login bc they are asking us to Xerox our login by doing it twice. This app doesn't do that but the regular web does. Was told I wouldn't get help to fix it bc other people couldn't log in. So sad that I am skeptical of this app now. Xerox CoMerica and Eppicard haven't been on the best list in my book.

I found it, downloaded the app and got very excited, so when I actually went log in I it was available only for 3 states.
I am going to cancel it, why launch an app that's not ready for everyone. I am not the type to leave reviews and stuff but this really put a dent in my morning. Hopefully next time I check all the states are going to be in.😞

It does work, if you're in one of three states supported.

I'm in one of the three supported states, and it does work. There's not much at all to it, you can just check your balance, and it seems to update fairly quickly. That being said, it's available in only three states. There's also no app pin, just a standard timeout. The app could use some work.

The GA EPPICard was implemented by the State of Georgia as a convenient electronic payment option for receiving your child support payments, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), and state employee payroll. Georgia EPPICard Customer Service

Activate your Georgia EPPICard

If you have a new Georgia EPPI Card, you will first need to activate your card before you can access your child support payments and cash assistance benefits.

To activate your GA EPPICard, please contact customer service to set-up your 4-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN).

There are two ways to activate your EPPICard – online and by phone.

Option 1 – Online

To activate your Georgia EPPICard for child support, TANF, and payroll payments online, please visit the GA EPPICard website at www.eppicard.com/gaedcclient.

Once on the website, click the “New User” link below the login section. Follow the steps to activate your GA EPPICard account.

Option 2 – By Phone

To activate your Georgia EPPICard by Prepaid Debit MasterCard over the phone, please call the toll-free GA EPPICard customer service phone number at 1-800-656-1347.

You will be asked to provide:

  • 16-digit Georgia EPPICard Number
  • Last 4-digits of your Social Security Number (SSN)
  • Date of Birth (MM/DD/YYYY)

After that, you will be able to create your 4-digit PIN number. Once complete, sign the back of your card and it’s ready for use.

Check your GA EPPICard balance

There are three ways to check the balance on your Georgia EPPICard – by phone, online, and in-person. Follow the instructions provided below to successfully check your GA EPPI Card balance.

Option 1 – Phone

Call Customer Service by using their toll-free phone number at 1-800-656-1347 to check your GA EPPICard balance.

You are allowed 5 free customer service calls each month. After 5 calls there will be a $0.35 charge for each call to customer service.

Option 2 – Online

To check your Georgia Debit MasterCard balance online, visit the Georgia EPPIcard website. Once on the website, login to your GA EPPI Card online account to view your current child support, TANF or payroll balance.

Option 3 – ATM

The last option to check your Georgia EPPICard balance is in-person at an ATM. Visit a MoneyPass or Comerica Bank ATM location near you to check your GA EPPI Card balance.

About the Georgia EPPI Card

The Georgia EPPI card is the electronic payment system used by the state of Georgia for Child Support and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) payments.

GA EPPICard by debit MasterCard® is the safe and convenient way to receive your Georgia Child Support and Cash Assistance payments.

The Georgia Department of Children and Families (DCF) implemented the electronic payment system to reduce fraud and provide recipients with immediate access to their Child Support payments. For help with your Wisconsin Debit MasterCard®, continue reading below.

The GA Eppicard is a prepaid Mastercard that can be used as a regular debit card. You can withdraw cash and use the card online or in-store just like a normal debit card. Once benefits are deposited into your Eppicard account, they are available for immediate use. The GA Eppicard eliminates the waiting process associated with child support and TANF payments sent in the mail.

A Georgia Eppicard provides access to your funds 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can access your funds at an ATM, bank teller window and merchant location, anywhere debit MasterCards are accepted.

Your debit card account is FDIC insured and your account is protected by your Personal Identification Number (PIN). Deposits are posted on the banking day after your payment is received and processed. The State of Georgia is pleased to offer you the convenience and security of the Georgia Debit MasterCard.

Georgia EPPICard Customer Service

As a GA Eppicard cardholder, you are allowed five calls to the Customer Service Interactive Voice Response (IVR) each month for no fee. The Customer Service Interactive Voice Response allows you to check your transaction history and card balance.

Any calls over five per month are subject to a $0.35 fee per call.

If you call and are transferred to a customer service representative, your call will not be counted towards your five-month limit. Calls with a representative are always free. A call will be transferred to a represented if you are:

  • Reporting a lost, stolen, or damaged card
  • Requesting a replacement card
  • Performing a PIN selection or change
  • Reporting an unauthorized transaction posted on your account

How to Check your GA Eppicard Balance

There are four different ways to check the balance on your Georgia Eppicard. Keep reading to find out how to check your balance.

GA Eppicard Balance

Option 1 – Online

The first way to check your Georgia Eppicard balance is to visit the Georgia Eppicard website at https://www.eppicard.com/gaedcclient/. There is no limit on how many times you can access your balance and transaction history on the GA Eppicard website.

To check your balance log into your Eppicard account by entering your User ID into the top-left portion of the screen. If you do not have an Eppicard account, please sign up for one by clicking the “New User” button below the Login portal on the left side of the screen.

Option 2 – ATM

The second way to access your Georgia Eppicard balance is to visit an in-network ATM. To avoid any fees, be sure to use ATM machines at Comerica or MoneyPass ATM locations. To find a MoneyPass ATM near you, use the ATM Locator here. To find a Comerica ATM near you, use the ATM finder tool here.

Option 3 – Balance Alert

The next way to check on your Georgia Eppicard balance is to set up low balance alert messages. This alert service is free to Eppicard holders and allows you to receive alerts via email, phone, or text message. To set up low balance alerts on your GA Eppicard, log in to your Georgia Eppicard online account.

Option 4 – Phone

The last way to check your Georgia Eppicard balance is by calling the Eppicard customer service automated system 1-800-656-1347. You can call to access balance and transaction information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please note you are only allowed 5 free calls per month. Any calls after five are subject to a $0.35 fee.

The Georgia EPPICard can be used at any MasterCard ATM location. However, select ATM locations may incur fees. To avoid fees with your Georgia Debit MasterCard, use “in-network” ATM locations and avoid “out-of-network” ATMs – as they incur additional fees and transaction charges.

Like any other debit or credit card, there are fees associated with the card for certain transactions. The GA Eppicard is subject to the following fees:

How to Login:

Step 1: If you are a new user to the Eppicard site, you must create a User ID.

Your User ID must consist of 6 to 8 alphanumeric characters (letters and/or numbers).

Eppicard Fees and Charges

Georgia Child Support Card

All the fees and charges associated with a Comerica debit Mastercard, as stated in theterms of use.

  • You are allowed two (2) free ATM cash withdrawals per deposit each calendar month, but only if it is conducted at “in-network” (MoneyPass or Comerica Bank) ATMs; and they must be used by midnight on the last calendar day each month. You are allowed one (1) free ATM cash withdrawal each month if you do not receive a deposit during the calendar month. A fee of $1.25 will be assessed for each ATM cash withdrawal, thereafter. A fee of $1.25 will be assessed for each ATM cash withdrawal conducted at an ATM that is not in-network.
  • There is no fee assessed for ATM balance inquires or ATM denials. A fee of $1.25 will be assessed for each ATM transaction, cash withdrawal, or balance inquiry, conducted outside of the United States. An additional fee equal to 3% of the amount of the transaction will be charged for each international ATM cash withdrawal transaction.
  • If you conduct a transaction at an ATM other than MoneyPass or Comerica Bank, the owner of the ATM may impose an additional fee called a “surcharge.” Read the screen message carefully for information related to surcharges before you press “Enter.” You will have the option to cancel the transaction and go to another ATM.
  • After receipt of your initial Card, you may receive one free Card replacement each 36-month period. A $5.00 fee will be charged for each additional Card replacement; plus an additional $15.00 if you request that the replacement Card be sent express two day delivery (business days only) rather than by regular mail.
  • Additional services: There is no fee for cash withdrawals conducted at MasterCard Member Bank teller windows. There is no fee to sign up for deposit notification, low balance alert and/or instant mobile alert via email, phone or text message. If you sign up for instant mobile alerts, you are allowed one (1) free mobile text alert with each deposit each month; after the one (1) free mobile alert is sent, your Card account will
    be charged $0.10 for each additional alert. Funds transfer: if you wish to transfer funds from your debit card to a consumer bank account in the United States, a fee of $1.50 will be assessed.
  • Card inactivity fee: After 12 consecutive months of inactivity, we will assess a $1.25 fee per month, beginning in the 13th month of each consecutive month of inactivity, thereafter. Inactivity is defined as no deposits, cash withdrawals, balance inquiries, or purchases for 12 consecutive months.
  • You are allowed five (5) free calls to Customer Service Interactive Voice Response (IVR) each month to check your balance or hear your transaction history. After five (5) free calls each month, there is a charge of $0.35 for each additional call. Free calls expire at the end of each month if not used.
